Be a lifesaver - Volunteer with CICBC

The Central Illinois Community Blood Center would like you to become a part of our team. CICBC needs volunteers to help make phone calls to remind donors about upcoming blood drives, prepare mailings and make copies. Please join our team of dedicated volunteers and you can help us maintain a safe blood supply for the patients in your community. Give us a call at 1-866-GIVE-BLD for more information.

Volunteer Coordinators
Rose Beard is the volunteer blood drive coordinator for the Hillsboro area. Rose sponsors 6 blood drives a year, and averages participation of 85-100 people at each drive. Thank you Rose for your commitment to Central Illinois Community Blood Center and your community. (Rose is pictured in pink)

Volunteer Donors
Volunteer donors help us save the lives of thousands of patients a year. Blood can not be manufactured. It is a gift that comes from the heart; from one person to another. Pictured donating is Travis Denham.

Student Volunteers
Students from local high schools volunteer their time at the Blood Center. Pictured are Megan and Hanna from Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville with Donor Relations Manager Lindsay Spears in the middle.

Volunteer Drivers
Many people like Bill Robertson volunteer to make deliveries to our partner hospitals in Springfield and southern Illinois. There are many volunteer opportunities at Central Illinois Community Blood Center -- just give us a call!

To volunteer with CICBC please call 217-753-1530 in Springfield,
or 618-659-0542 in Edwardsville.
